Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000

 

Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000 (CAS# 54667-43-5) is a polyurethane additive, is a light yellow viscous liquid at ambient temperatures and can be mixed, cast and cured at room temperature.

 

Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000 acts as an oligomeric diamine curative for various diisocyanates as well as their prepolymers and also as amine or anhydride cured epoxy modifier to enhance flexibility. Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000 is a liquid at ambient temperatures and can be mixed, cast as well as cured at room temperature.

 

Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000 is suitable for epoxy systems as well as in field repair applications due to its ease of processing. Used in industrial as well as construction adhesive. It is also useful for coating applications.

Processing of Liquid MDI Cured with Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000

  Isocyanate:                                                                Liquid 4,4’ – MDI (29 wt% NCO)

  Mix Ratio by weight:             

(Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000 to Isocyanate)              3.3 (calculated based on a 95% stoichiometry)

   Approximate Pot Life:                                             20 minutes

   

Final Elastomer Properties (cured @ 25oC for 7 days):

  Hardness:                                       50 (Shore D)

   Ultimate Tensile Strength:         4500 psi

   Ultimate Elongation:                   460%

   Die C Teat Strength:                    420 pli

   

Poly (1,4-butanediol) bis (4-aminobenzoate) P-1000 has a shelf life of 60 months.
