Gadolinium (III) Oxide

Gadolinium oxide (Gadolinia) is a white powder inorganic chemical compound with the formula Gd2O3.  It is used as a raw material in the manufacture of Gadolinium metal, in optical coatings, the glass industry and electronics industry and in many chemical applications.  It has a main use in various fluorescent compounds, screen-sensitivity increasing materials, absorption material in atomic reactions, nuclear fuels and magnetic bubble materials.
